Pedestrian Accidents in California

Pedestrians are among the most vulnerable victims on California’s roadways. Last year, more than 900 pedestrians were killed, and over 14,000 more were hurt in crashes that occurred across our state. Many of the injuries were serious in nature, leaving victims with broken bones, head injuries, spinal cord trauma, scars, disfigurement, and even death. A pedestrian crash can certainly be life-changing for those who are affected.

California law provides victims with legal recourse when they have been hurt in a crash. If you were not at fault or the other driver was even partially at fault, you could be entitled to compensation. The law allows victims to recover damages in several categories, including lost wages, pain and suffering, medical and prescription expenses, and possibly more. The amount of your compensation depends on many factors, which include the nature of your case, the extent of your injuries, and the overall impact that the crash had on your life. In the case of a pedestrian accident, it is likely that the crash caused a major impact.

Here at Madison Law Group, we fight for the compensation that our clients deserve. Our firm strongly believes that all negligent motorists should be held fully accountable for their actions. This means that you are not financially responsible for someone else’s carelessness. However, the law is complicated and should only be handled by an experienced and knowledgeable California pedestrian accident lawyer.
