North Hollywood, CA – Pedestrian Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver on Keswick St.
North Hollywood, CA (April 7, 2023) – A pedestrian in North Hollywood was killed in a hit-and-run accident that took place on Thursday, April 6th. The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection with Keswick Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.
According to police, the suspect was operating a vehicle southbound on Laurel Canyon Boulevard when they ran a red light and struck the victim. The pedestrian was in a crosswalk at the time of the crash and was identified only as a woman in her 50s. The woman was rushed to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her name has not been released at this time. The truck was described as an older model two-toned blue Nissan or Toyota. The truck is expected to have damage to its front left corner.
An investigation into the accident is underway at this time. There is no additional information available.
