Antelope Valley, CA- Elsa Guzman Killed in Avenue J Pedstrian Crash

Antelope Valley, CA (February 3, 2023) – A 68-year-old woman tragically lost her life in a pedestrian accident that took place in Antelope Valley on Tuesday, January 31st. The accident was reported on Avenue J at the intersection with 200th Street East.
The California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the accident scene. According to a report from the police, a 2011 Ford van was traveling westbound on Avenue J when the driver struck the woman as she tried to cross the road. The victim, later identified as Elsa Guzman, passed away as a result of her injuries. Guzman was from Riverside. There were no other vehicles or injuries involved.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and spoke with authorities. No additional injuries have been reported as a result of the accident. It is unknown whether any charges will be filed at this time.
The crash remains under investigation. There is no further information available.
