Pico Rivera, CA – Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Rooks Rd.
Pico Rivera, CA (March 13, 2023) – Officials responded to the scene of a fatal hit-and-run collision in Pico Rivera on Sunday, March 12th. The accident occurred around 11:20 p.m. at the intersection of Rooks Road and Rose Hill Road.
According to a report from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, two women were walking southbound on the curb of Rooks Road when they were hit by a vehicle that was also traveling southbound. The driver of the car immediately fled the scene after the accident. One of the women died at the scene from her injuries. A second victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Neither of the women has been identified at this time. There is no description of the vehicle or the subject.
Police were at the scene for several hours while they investigated the crash and cleared the area. There is no additional information available at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
