Injury Accidents in California

A car accident can happen very suddenly and unexpectedly. Crashes almost always occur when they are least expected. One minute you might be driving down the road minding your own business, and the next, you can find yourself as the victim of a major collision. According to statewide data, there were more than 400,000 car accidents reported in California last year. Many of these accidents also involved injuries, some of them to innocent victims. Speeding, reckless driving, impairment, and distraction were among the most cited causes of car accidents in our state. While drivers should do everything that they can to lower their risk of a crash, some accidents are simply unavoidable.

If you find yourself in this position, you are likely to have many questions about your future. While a car accident does not have to define you, it can affect you in very real ways. As the victim of a California car accident, you may have expensive and unaffordable medical bills. The pain caused by the crash can impact your ability to perform even routine tasks. As you struggle to get back to normal, you will experience feelings of anger and frustration over your situation. Fortunately, help is available.

California law gives victims the option of bringing a legal claim against the other driver involved in the accident. If you were not at fault for the collision, you should speak with an attorney about your rights. Too often, crash victims make the mistake of trying to handle their cases on their own. This results in an inadequate or unjust outcome.
