Ontario, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash with Cement Truck on Archibald Ave

Ontario, CA (June 30, 2023) – Police and rescue crews responded to the scene of a deadly accident in Ontario on Friday morning, June 30th. The crash happened around 8:35 a.m. on Archibald Avenue near the on-ramp at the eastbound lanes of the 60 Freeway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian, possibly a bicyclist, was traveling on Archibald Road when they were struck by a cement truck. The cement truck driver remained at the crash scene and spoke with authorities. At this time, it is believed that the victim was in a crosswalk when the crash happened. Police did not immediately identify the deceased pedestrian.

There were no other injuries reported in the collision. The on-ramp of the freeway was shut down while police conducted an investigation into the accident. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed at this time.
