Corona, CA (March 30, 2023) – Officials in Corona responded to the scene of a fatal car accident in Corona on Tuesday night, March 28th. The accident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Parkway and Rimpau Avenue.

Police say that a Ford F-150 was approaching the intersection when the driver ran a red light and collided with a Tesla that was crossing with a green light. The impact of the crash caused significant damage to the Tesla. When police arrived, they found the driver of the Tesla unconscious in the vehicle. Lifesaving efforts were performed but were ultimately unsuccessful. The 43-year-old male driver was then pronounced dead at the crash scene. Officials have not identified the victim at this time.

A passenger in the Tesla suffered minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no word on whether anyone in the F-150 was injured in the crash. Police are still investigating the crash. At this time, it is unclear if alcohol or drugs may have played a role. There is no word on any potential charges.
