Los Angeles, CA – Two Hurt in Garbage Truck Crash on 110 Fwy.
Los Angeles, CA (May 12, 2023) – Police in Los Angeles were called to the scene of a crash involving a garbage truck on Friday morning, May 12th. The accident happened in the northbound lanes of the 110 Freeway near the exit for Century Boulevard.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Police Department, a trash truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in an accident. The crash resulted in debris from the trash truck tumbling onto the street below. Two cars at a nearby apartment building were severely damaged by the falling debris. Both the driver of the garbage truck and the passenger car were hurt in the accident. The victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for undisclosed injuries.
The identities of the victims have not been released at this time. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident. Drivers were asked to find an alternate route of travel while they investigated the crash and cleared the area.
