Los Angeles, CA – One Killed, Two Hurt in Suspected DUI Crash on LA Brea Ave.

Los Angeles, CA (June 17, 2023) – Officials in the Los Angeles area responded to the scene of a fatal collision on Friday night, June 16th. The accident took place around 11:45 p.m. on LaBrea Avenue near Coliseum Street.

According to a report from the Los Angeles Police Department, a car was traveling southbound on LaBrea Avenue when the vehicle made a left turn in front of a northbound car. The two vehicles collided. Three teenagers, ages 17 and 18, were occupying the northbound vehicle at the time of the crash. The driver, an 18-year-old Hispanic male, was taken to a local hospital, where he died. Two passengers, both 17-year-old females, were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time. No additional injuries were reported. It is believed that the driver of the southbound vehicle may have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol when the accident happened.

An investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released at this time.
