Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run on 1st St. at Westmoreland Ave.
Los Angeles, CA (May 3, 2023) – Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department are investigating following a hit-and-run crash in the Koreatown neighborhood early Tuesday morning. The accident took place just after 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of 1st Street and Westmoreland Avenue.
According to a report from detectives, a silver 2005 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on 1st Street when the driver struck a female pedestrian as she was walking in the roadway. The driver of the Nissan fled the scene before police could arrive. The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and transported the woman to a local hospital, where she died as a result of her injuries. There is no description of the suspect available at this time.
Police are still looking into the accident, and there is no word on any specific charges. No additional information is available.
