Palmdale, CA – Shomari Rollox Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 14 Fwy.
Palmdale, CA (June 8, 2023) – A 28-year-old man is dead after a pedestrian crash on Tuesday afternoon in Palmdale. The accident took place just after 5:00 p.m. on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, Shomari Rollox was struck by a tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes of the freeway. The events leading up to the accident have not been disclosed at this time. Rollox was pronounced dead at the crash scene. The driver of the truck, 47-year-old Francisco Mosqueda of Palmdale, was not hurt in the accident. The road was blocked following the accident as drivers were asked to avoid the area.
Troopers are still investigating the incident at this time. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected in the collision. There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed.
