Los Angeles, CA – Pedestrian Killed in Crash on San Bernardino Fwy

Los Angeles, CA (May 16, 2023) – Police in Los Angeles responded to the scene of a deadly pedestrian crash on Monday, May 15th. The crash was reported just after 10:00 p.m. on the San Bernardino Freeway.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was crossing the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Campus Drive when they were struck by a black BMW. The pedestrian, whose identity was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the crash scene. There were no other injuries reported in the accident. The driver of the black BMW was not immediately identified.

Troopers shut down multiple lanes of the highway while they investigated the collision. During this time, motorists were advised to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.

There is no word on whether any charges are expected to be filed. An investigation is ongoing at this time.
