Injury Accidents in California
With nearly 40 million residents, California is the most-populated state in the country. Along with this naturally comes congested and dangerous roadways. According to the Transportation Injury Mapping System used by the California Highway Patrol, it is estimated that nearly half a million car accidents take place across our state each year. These accidents range from minor, with little to no damage, all the way to fatal accidents that result in the loss of life. The severity of a particular accident depends on many factors, including the speed of the crash, the type of accident that occurs, and the number of vehicles involved. Unfortunately, there is no way to predict when an innocent driver will be affected by a crash. When this does happen, the injured victim could be entitled to compensation.
Under California law, victims could receive payment for numerous factors, including pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills, and potentially more. The amount of compensation can be reliably determined only by an experienced California car accident lawyer. Therefore, it is important to consult with an attorney as soon as possible if you believe you may have a case. Failing to obtain legal advice can result in a bad outcome and a settlement that does not fully account for the injuries that you suffered.
