Los Angeles, CA – One Killed in Crash on Winnetka Ave. at Vanowen St.
Los Angeles, CA (February 11, 2023) – Officials in Los Angeles were dispatched to the scene of a deadly car accident on Thursday, February 9th. The accident happened at the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and Vanowen Street.
According to a report from the Los Angeles Fire Department, two cars were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles traveled off the road and came to rest in the yard of a nearby home. The driver was trapped in their vehicle and had to be extricated by rescue crews. Officials say that a man in his 20s suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The road was partially closed while police investigated the collision. There is no word on how the accident occurred at this time. The victims have not been identified.
It is not clear whether any charges will be filed in connection with the crash. An investigation remains ongoing.
