Irvine, CA – Injury Crash on Interstate 5 at Culver Dr.

Irvine, CA (March 30, 2023) – Police in Irvine responded to the scene of a car accident with injuries on Wednesday afternoon, March 29th. The collision happened around 2:00 p.m. on the Interstate 5 Freeway, just south of Culver Drive.

According to a report from the scene, there were four cars involved in the accident, including a gray Toyota Prius, a black Toyota sedan, a white pickup truck, and possibly a semi-truck. Following the crash, the vehicles were blocking the No. 1, No. 2, and HOV lanes of the freeway. Police arrived at the accident site and discovered that at least one person was injured as a result of the collision. The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to an area hospital for additional treatment. The nature and the extent of the injuries are not known at this time. There is no word on what caused the accident to happen.

Motorists were asked to use caution when traveling near the crash scene and to find an alternate travel route if possible. Further investigation is ongoing at this time.
