Costa Mesa, CA – One Dead in Two-Car Crash on 405 Fwy.

Costa Mesa, CA (May 25, 2023) – Authorities in Costa Mesa were called to the scene of a deadly car accident on Thursday, May 25th. The crash occurred just before 1:00 a.m. on the 405 Freeway near Harbor Boulevard.

The California Highway Patrol was the first agency on the scene. When they arrived, troopers located a victim trapped inside one of the vehicles. The victim was unconscious and was later pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released at this time. Rescue officials partially closed the road while they investigated the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation at this time. It is unclear if any charges will be filed in connection with the accident.
