Chatsworth, CA – One Killed in Head-On Crash on Winnetka Ave.

Chatsworth, CA (February 9, 2023) – One person was killed in a car accident that took place in Chatsworth on Thursday morning, February 9th. The accident happened in the 8900 block of Winnetka Avenue at the intersection with Nordhoff Street.

The Los Angeles Fire Department, along with police, responded to the accident scene. According to officials, a dark-colored vehicle tried to make a left turn when it collided head-on with a white sedan. The sedan overturned and came to rest on the side of the road. A man in his 20s suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the accident scene. A second victim sustained minor injuries. The identities of those involved have not been released at this time. There were no other vehicles involved in the accident.

The road was partially closed following the collision. Motorists were advised to use caution when traveling near the accident scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. It is unclear if any charges will be filed.
