Los Angeles, CA – Two Dead in High Speed Crash on N. Balboa Blvd.

Los Angeles, CA (February 8, 2023) – Two people in Los Angeles were killed in a car accident that took place early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on North Balboa Boulevard in the Sepulveda Basin area.

According to Sgt. Hector Guitierrez of the Los Angeles Police Department, a white Corvette was speeding when the driver ran a red light and slammed into a gray Honda at the intersection. Police believe that the Corvette was traveling nearly 100 miles per hour at the time of the collision. The drivers of both the Honda and the Corvette succumbed to their injuries. A passenger in the Corvette was taken to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition. Authorities have not identified anyone who was hurt in the accident. Two of the victims were trapped inside the vehicles after the crash.

An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time. No further information has been released.
