Valencia, CA – One Person Killed in Car Accident on Hwy. 126

Valencia, CA (February 9, 2023) – Police and fire crews responded to reports of a fatal accident in Valencia on Thursday, February 9th. The crash was reported around 3:35 a.m. on Highway 126 at the intersection with Wolcott Way.

According to Esteban Benitez of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, a total of three vehicles were involved in the accident. One person suffered critical injuries and received medical treatment at the scene. The victim was later pronounced dead, according to Benitez. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt as a result of the crash. Police did not say how the accident happened.

The westbound lanes of the road were closed for about 5 hours but later reopened just before 9:00 a.m. The California Highway Patrol assisted with the investigation. The identity of the deceased victim was not released.

Police are still investigating at this time. There is no further information available.
