California Bicycle Accidents
A bicycle crash in California can be a life-altering event. Bicycle riding is a popular activity in our state, and it is very common to see riders on the roadways on a daily basis. However, it is also difficult to understate some of the dangers faced by these riders when they are in the presence of other vehicles. A California bicycle accident typically takes place in a very sudden and unexpected fashion. These crashes can happen in an instant and can lead to serious injuries or even death for the victim. When a bicycle accident takes place, it typically will be closely investigated by police in order to determine the cause and who should be held responsible.
Legal fault for an accident may not always be clear. A team of trained investigators will initially survey the scene and make a determination. However, in certain cases, the other motorist will claim that they were not at fault. Fault is important because if you were not at fault for the collision then you are entitled to damages. If you were at fault, then your damages can be reduced or even eliminated. It is important to speak with an attorney in order to fully understand your legal rights.
