San Fernando, CA – Injury Crash with Multiple Cars Involved on 5 Fwy.
San Fernando, CA (March 10, 2023) – Authorities in San Fernando were dispatched to the scene of a car accident on Thursday, March 9th. The accident happened around 9:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway near San Fernando Mission Road and State Route 118.
According to officials, a gold Chevrolet HHR, a gray Dodge Charger, and a white pickup truck were all involved in the collision. The Dodge suffered major damage to its front end while the Chevrolet sustained moderate rear-end damage. A woman and a juvenile victim were treated for their injuries at the scene before being transported to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center for further treatment. Their injuries are described as non-life-threatening. None of the victims involved in the accident have been identified.
The 5 Freeway was partially closed while an investigation was conducted. Motorists were advised to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
