Los Angeles, CA – UPDATE: Andrew Belcher Identified in N. Vineland Scooter Crash

Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2023) – Authorities in Los Angeles identified the man who was killed in a scooter crash in North Hollywood on Wednesday, February 22nd. The crash happened just before 1:00 a.m. on Vineland Avenue near the intersection with Riverside Drive.

According to police, 30-year-old Andrew Belcher was riding his scooter in the southbound bicycle lane of Vineland Avenue. At the same time, a car was also traveling southbound on the same road. The vehicle rear-ended Belcher’s scooter from behind, ejecting him from the bike. Belcher landed in the roadway. The driver of the car called the police after the collision. Rescue workers arrived, but ultimately Belcher was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the accident.

The accident remains under investigation at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed in connection with the collision. No further information has been released.
