Gardena, CA – Fatal Car Accident on Rosencrans and Vermont Ave.
Gardena, CA (March 17, 2023) – The Gardena Police Department was dispatched to the scene of a fatal car accident on Friday morning, March 17th. The accident happened around 3:00 a.m. on Rosencrans Avenue at the intersection with Vermont Avenue.
According to a report from the scene, two cars were involved in the collision. One of the vehicles ran a red light and collided with another vehicle. Emergency crews arrived and provided lifesaving medical aid. One of the victims succumbed to their injuries. Two other motorists were taken to a local hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. The conditions of the victims are not known at this time. Police have not released the identities of those involved in the accident.
The southbound lanes of Vermont Avenue were closed while an investigation was conducted. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
