Diamond Bar, CA – One Person Killed in Car Accident on Pomona Fwy.
Diamond Bar, CA (May 14, 2023) – Police in the Diamond Bar area responded to the scene of a fatal traffic crash on Sunday morning, May 14th. The accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on the Pomona Freeway near the Orange Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene. According to troopers, at least one person was seriously hurt in the accident. The victim later succumbed to their injuries. There is no word on the cause of the crash at this time. The identity of the victim has not been released. Heavy smoke and flames were seen coming from the site of the crash. Police shut down the road for several hours while the accident was investigated.
During this time, divers were told to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed. An investigation is underway at this time.
