Los Angeles, CA (March 28, 2023) – A deputy with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office was hurt in a crash with an impaired driver on Monday, March 27th. The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Telegraph Road.

According to a report from the scene, the deputy and the other driver arrived at the intersection traveling in opposite directions. The other driver then collided with the deputy’s car at the intersection. The deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. Both cars suffered major damage. The other driver was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries. The crash caused delays near the scene. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
