Corona, CA – Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Hwy. 71

Corona, CA (February 13, 2023) – The Corona Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal motorcycle accident in Corona on Monday, February 13th. The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 71 near the Riverside Freeway.

According to a report from troopers, the motorcycle and a truck collided with one another. The motorcycle caught fire following the crash and was located in the right-hand lanes of the roadway. The motorcyclist received medical treatment at the scene but later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the truck was not hurt in the accident. It is unclear exactly how the crash took place. The identity of the victim has not been released. Police advised motorists to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.

The accident is still under investigation. There is no word on whether any charges are expected. No further information is available at this time.
