Bakersfield, CA – Injury Crash on Hwy. 99 at Rosedale Hwy.

Bakersfield, CA (March 1, 2023) – Police in Bakersfield responded to the scene of a serious car accident with injuries on Tuesday morning, February 28th. The crash was reported around 8:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Rosedale Highway.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Ford Explorer and several other cars were involved in a five-vehicle accident. Police and rescue workers arrived at the scene shortly after the collision occurred. When officials got to the scene, they found at least one person suffering from non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the accident. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. Officials have not released the victim’s identity at this time. It is not clear how the accident happened.

During this time, motorists were told to avoid the scene and to find an alternate route of travel. The crash is still under investigation. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.
