Westminster, CA – Two Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on Beach Blvd.
Westminster, CA (February 7, 2023) – The Westminster Police Department responded to the scene of a multi-car crash on Monday, February 6th. The accident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. in the 14500 block of Beach Boulevard.
Police say that a total of four cars were involved in the accident. According to officials, a minivan was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Beach Boulevard at a high rate of speed. The minivan crashed head-on into three other cars before all of the vehicles came to rest. The minivan driver, a female in her 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her passenger, a woman in her 70s, also died from her injuries sustained in the accident. The driver of another car suffered a leg injury and was transported to the hospital.
None of the crash victims have been identified at this time. Police have not disclosed what caused the woman to travel left of center. There is no further information available.
The accident remains under investigation.
