Los Angeles, CA – Two Killed in Car Accident on Cesar Chavez Ave.
Los Angeles, CA (April 20, 2023) – Police and rescue workers in Los Angeles were at the scene of a fatal car accident on Thursday morning, April 20th. The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on East Cesar E. Chavez Avenue near North Hazard Avenue.
Authorities say that a Jeep and a white Astro van were among the vehicles involved in the collision. The accident occurred when the Jeep rear-ended the van. The Jeep suffered heavy front-end damage as a result of the crash. Paramedics responded to the scene. Ultimately, two people were pronounced dead as a result of the crash. The identities of the victims have not been released. It is unknown whether the victims were in the Jeep or the van. Police advised drivers to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel.
The accident is still under investigation. There is no additional information available at this time.
