Inglewood, CA (February 17, 2023) – Police in the Inglewood area were called to the scene of a crash involving a cement truck and a Metro train on Thursday evening, February 16th. The crash occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Florence Avenue at the intersection with Cedar Avenue.

According to witnesses, the cement truck became stalled on the tracks and was able to partially move before being hit by an oncoming Metro train. Firefighters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the crash scene. One person was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt in the accident. Police do not believe that there were any serious injuries in the accident. Those involved have not been identified.

There is no word at this time on whether any charges will be filed. The crash remains under investigation.
