Hollywood, CA – One Dead, Three Hurt Following Car Accident on W. Magnolia Blvd.
Hollywood, CA (February 27, 2023) – Officials in Hollywood were dispatched to the scene of a fatal two-car accident on Sunday evening, February 26th. The accident took place around 7:00 p.m. at 11482 West Magnolia Boulevard.
The Los Angeles Fire Department, along with police and rescue crews, were at the scene shortly after the collision took place. According to a preliminary report, a female driver in a gray sedan was traveling northbound on the 170 Freeway. The woman exited the freeway and entered Magnolia Boulevard. As she got to Magnolia, she ran a red light and collided with a dark-colored Honda CRV occupied by three people, including a 10-month-old baby.
The Honda overturned after the collision, trapping a 35-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man inside. The 40-year-old man succumbed to his injuries. The 35-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, while the infant was transported in stable condition. The driver of the sedan suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No one involved in the crash has been identified at this time.
It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. The crash remains under investigation, and there is no word on whether any charges will be filed. No additional information is available at this time.
