Corona, CA – UPDATE: Diego Salguero Identified in Deadly Hwy. 71 Motorcycle Crash

Corona, CA (February 15, 2023) – A 29-year-old San Dimas man who was killed in a Corona motorcycle crash has been identified by authorities. The accident originally took place on Monday, February 13th, around 11:30 a.m. on Highway 71 near the Riverside Freeway.

Police say that Diego Salguero was operating a motorcycle in the southbound lanes of Highway 71 when he collided with a truck. Salguero’s motorcycle caught fire following the accident. Paramedics arrived and provided life-saving medical treatment, but sadly, he was pronounced dead at the crash scene. There is no word on whether the driver of the truck was hurt.

The cause of the accident is under investigation. There is no word on the identity of the truck driver, and it is unclear if any charges are expected.
