California Motorcycle Accidents

Motorcycles are potentially a very dangerous mode of transportation. According to the California Highway Patrol, a total of 13,381 injuries or deaths were reported as a result of motorcycle accidents that occurred across our state in 2021. Riders are very likely to suffer at least some type of injury when they are involved in a crash with a larger vehicle. The reasons are fairly obvious: motorcycles provide little protection from the impact of an accident. When a motorcyclist is hit, they are also at risk of being ejected from the bike and striking the road or other objects. This further increases the chances of a major injury being sustained.

Each motorcycle accident will be closely investigated by a team of trained officers. These officers will look for clues as to the cause of the crash and will determine which driver should be held legally responsible for the collision. While not always the case, many motorcycle crashes occur because of negligent drivers. These accidents happen because the driver failed to see or yield to the motorcyclist, causing a major accident with serious injuries. In such cases, the motorcyclist may have the legal right to recover for their losses.
