Ventura, CA – Majid Lashkari Hurt in Crash on 101 Fwy.
Ventura, CA (June 6, 2023) – Two cars collided in an injury crash that took place in Ventura on Monday, June 5th. The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. on US Highway 101 northbound near Johnson Drive.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a Dodge Charger and an Acura SUV were involved in the accident. Troopers say that both cars were traveling northbound on the highway when the Charger crashed into the Acura. The Acura spun out of control and crossed several traffic lanes before it struck a light pole and a concrete wall.
The Acura driver, 66-year-old Majid Lashkari, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the Charger, 21-year-old Oscar Ramirez of Camarillo, was arrested by police for DUI following an investigation and was taken to jail. Camarillo was not injured in the accident.
The accident remains under investigation. There is no further information available.
