Newhall, CA – CHP Responds to Fatal Accident on Soledad Canyon Rd.

Newhall, CA (February 7, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving two vehicles on Tuesday, February 7th. The accident was reported at approximately 6:15 p.m. in the 7400 block of Soledad Canyon Road.

According to an eyewitness report from the scene, a motorcycle and a white single-cab truck were involved in the crash. The motorcycle was lodged underneath the truck after the collision. Paramedics rushed to the accident scene and provided medical treatment. One person was pronounced dead due to the injuries they sustained. The cause and the events leading up to the accident were not immediately revealed. The deceased victim has not been identified. The roadway was partially blocked while police investigated the accident. Motorists were advised to use caution when traveling near the accident scene.

Troopers are still investigating at this time. No further information has been released.
