Los Angeles, CA – UPDATE: Douglass Bermudez Identified in Crash on Pomona Fwy.
Los Angeles, CA (March 11, 2023) – Authorities in Rosemead have released the identity of the man who was killed in a Friday car accident. The crash took place just before 5:00 a.m. in the westbound lanes of the Pomona Freeway at San Gabriel Boulevard.
According to a dispatch report from the California Highway Patrol, a gray SUV, another car, and a semi-truck, all collided with each other on the Freeway. The semi-truck was blocking the left lane immediately after the collision. Paramedics and fire crews arrived at the scene shortly after the collision and found a man suffering from critical injuries. The man, identified as Douglass Bermudez, suffered critical injuries. Bermudez later succumbed to his injuries.
There is no information on how the accident happened and there is no word on whether any charges will be filed. An investigation is underway at this time.
