Lancaster, CA – UPDATE: James Hickman Identified in Fatal Crash on Avenue L

Lancaster, CA (June 15, 2023) – Police have identified the man who was killed in a crash that took place in Lancaster last week. The collision originally took place on June 6th at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene of Avenue L and 20th Street West. According to a report from the scene, a total of three cars were involved in the collision, including a Ram 3500 pickup truck, a gray Subaru Forester, and a red Chevrolet Silverado were all involved in the crash. Police say that the accident happened when the Ram 3500 crashed into the back of the Subaru, causing a chain-reaction collision with the Silverado.
A passenger in the Subaru, 57-year-old James Hickman, suffered critical injuries. Hickamn later died at a local hospital. The female Subaru driver was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Following an investigation, the driver of the Ram was arrested and charged with driving under the influence.
Police are still investigating the accident at this time. There is no further information available.
