Cerritos, CA – One Killed, One Hurt in 91 Fwy. Crash

Cerritos, CA (June 18, 2023) – A fatal crash was reported in Cerritos on Sunday, June 18th. The accident happened around 3:15 a.m. on the 91 Freeway near Bloomfield Avenue.

According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a white Audi SUV was traveling westbound on the Freeway when the driver lost control of their vehicle. The Audi traveled off the road and struck an embankment near the right shoulder. One person lost their life at the scene. A second victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries. Neither of the victims has been identified at this time. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Police shut down the road while they conducted an investigation. During this time, motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
