Antelope Valley, CA – One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Hwy. 138
Antelope Valley, CA (February 13, 2023) – One person was killed in a crash that happened in the Antelope Valley on Monday, February 13th. The crash occurred just after 1:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 138 near Pearblossom Highway.
According to a report from the California Highway Patrol, a man identified as 45-year-old Richard Llanos Diaz was killed in the crash. The accident happened when a vehicle crashed into a stalled vehicle on the highway. It is not clear if Diaz was in the stalled car or the car that was moving. There is no word on whether any other injuries were suffered in the accident. Police partially blocked the roadway while an investigation was conducted. During this time, motorists were advised to avoid the area and to find an alternate route of travel if possible.
