Newhall, CA – Injuries Reported in Multi-Car Crash on 5 Fwy Near 14 Fwy
Newhall, CA (July 6, 2023) – Police in the Newhall area were called to the scene of an injury crash on Thursday, July 6th. The crash happened around 3:45 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Interstate 5 Freeway near the interchange with the 14 Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a pickup truck and two other cars were involved in the crash. The accident took place initially when the pickup collided with a center divider. Subsequently, two other vehicles collided with each other and the pickup. At least one person sustained injuries due to the collision. Paramedics responded and provided medical treatment to at least one of the injured victims. There is no word on whether anyone else was hurt. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
Troopers are still investigating the accident and determining if any charges will be filed. An investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available.
