Car Accident Fatalities in Los Angeles

Since they were constructed with the use of personal automobiles in mind, many of our cities are prone to serious accidents, given their dangerously congested highways and collisions at high speeds. As a result, methods for gathering and analyzing data on auto accidents have been created by state and federal governments.

The Los Angeles Police Department reports that 289 individuals have died in traffic accidents as of December 2021, which is a 21{1370d1a44a2a36111fd8aac2ccbc5aad49bce4f615ec80e8124ffd285aa21fc2} increase over the same time in 2020 and a 19{1370d1a44a2a36111fd8aac2ccbc5aad49bce4f615ec80e8124ffd285aa21fc2} increase over the same period in 2019. Additionally, according to LAPD, 1,465 individuals were seriously hurt in auto accidents, a 30{1370d1a44a2a36111fd8aac2ccbc5aad49bce4f615ec80e8124ffd285aa21fc2} rise from the same time in 2020. Per the LAPD, “serious injury” refers to circumstances in which victims of auto accidents were required to be sent to a hospital for further care.

The type and degree of your losses and injuries, as well as the defendant’s level of fault, are factors that often determine the value or merit of a vehicle accident claim. Your claim may be worth more than that of someone who sustained a relatively minor injury and didn’t need medical attention if you were badly hurt in a vehicle accident and had to miss work to get care. However, when a collision results in severe injuries that leave a victim permanently disabled, settlement payments could reach the millions of dollars.
