Los Angeles, CA – Stolen Truck Crash Kills Two on South Alvarado St.

Los Angeles, CA (February 1, 2023) – A crash involving a stolen pickup truck resulted in two deaths in Los Angeles on Tuesday night, January 31st. The accident happened just before 8:00 p.m. on South Alvarado Street near Olympic Boulevard.

The crash occurred when the Los Angeles police officers saw a stolen pickup truck on Alvarado Street. Officers pursued the truck. The driver then began taking evasive measures to avoid apprehension. The truck led officers on a high-speed chase before it crashed into a Honda Civic in the 13700 block of Lanark Street near Woodman Avenue. The Honda suffered major damage in the crash. Two suspects in the truck fled the scene on foot. Both were later captured by police.

One occupant in the Civic was pronounced dead at the crash scene. A second victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The victims were not immediately identified. The crash remains under investigation at this time. There is no further information available.
