Fatal Car Accident in Los Angeles

According to statistics, nearly 300 people were killed in car accidents in the city of Los Angeles last year. The number of serious and fatal crashes on our local roadways has continued to increase in recent years. While it is clear that Los Angeles is becoming more dangerous for drivers, the reasons for that trend are less clear. Most accidents, however, are caused by negligent drivers. These drivers fail to follow traffic laws and operate their vehicles in a way that disregards the rights of other motorists on the road.

If you have been affected by a local accident, it is important to remember that you have certain valuable legal rights. Under California law, car accident victims can bring a claim against the driver who caused the crash. If you have lost a loved one in the accident, you may be able to file a wrongful death action. The time limits for filing these claims are limited, however, and crash victims should not wait too long before pursuing their case.
