Huntington Beach, CA – Fatal Car Accident on Atlanta Ave at Bushard St
Huntington Beach, CA (July 6, 2023) – Authorities in Huntington Beach responded to the scene of a fatal car accident on Wednesday afternoon, July 5th. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Atlanta Avenue and Bushard Street.
According to a report, two vehicles were involved in the crash. Police say that the driver of a silver Toyota Corolla was traveling southbound on Bushard Street when he ran a red light and collided with a gray Mercedes-Benz GLC. The Mercedes had a green light at the time of the crash. Paramedics rushed to the scene and treated the 68-year-old driver of the Corolla for his injuries, but sadly, he was later pronounced dead. Three occupants of the Mercedes were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The identities of those involved have not been released at this time. Neither alcohol nor drugs are believed to be a factor in the collision. An investigation is underway.
