Deadly Car Accident in Corona
Each day, we get into a vehicle to travel to and from our destinations. It is easy to take safety for granted due to the routine nature of driving. However, motorists should always keep in mind that a serious car accident can take place at any time. According to statistics, nearly 16,000 people were injured or killed in car accidents that took place in Riverside County in 2018. Many of these fatal collisions were caused by speeding drivers. Nearly one-third of all traffic-related fatalities resulted from at least one vehicle that was speeding at the time of the accident. Other causes of serious and fatal crashes include impairment, distraction, and failing to yield to other vehicles on the roadway.
If you have lost a family member in a Corona car accident, our thoughts are with you. This is one of the most devastating things for any family to experience. If your loved one was not at fault for the accident, you could be entitled to compensation. California’s wrongful death law provides relatives with the ability to file a claim on behalf of their deceased family member. These claims are complicated, however, and should only be handled by an attorney with experience.
