Buena Park, CA – Passenger Dies in Crash on I-5 at Beach Blvd.

Buena Park, CA (March 28, 2023) – The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal car accident on Monday night, March 27th. The accident happened just before 11:00 p.m. on the Interstate 5 Freeway near Beach Boulevard.

According to a report from the CHP, a 33-year-old man was riding as a passenger in a vehicle when his car collided with another car and came to rest in the No. 2 southbound lane of the Freeway. A third car then crashed into the man’s stopped vehicle after the initial collision. The man, who was not identified, died at the accident scene. Two other drivers involved in the accident suffered varying levels of injuries. Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the injured drivers to a local hospital. The third driver was not injured.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident at this time. It is unclear if any charges will be filed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP.
